Union Minister Narayan Rane, who was arrested on Tuesday for making controversial remarks against Uddhav Thackeray, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, said that he had targeted Shiv Sena against him. The case filed, was appealed to the court, adding that the court’s decision in his favor indicated the existence of the country’s rule of law.
At a press conference on Wednesday, Narayan Rane said that some people "took advantage" of his "good nature" and thanked the party leaders for their support.
"Some people have taken advantage of my good nature, but I will not talk about it now. My yatra [Jan Ashirwad Yatra] is about exploring the plans and measures taken by the Modi government in the past seven years. Prime Minister Modi’s instructions, I started my yatra. There is a two-day interval, but I will come over tomorrow to restore my yatra from Sindhudurg," Rane said at a press conference.
